Third Eye is a Crime Intelligence Digital Framework (CIDF) designed to suit specific needs of Law Enforcement agencies in Nigeria to assist with crime suspect identification, documentation, analysis and resolution in a fast and timely manner.

The Third Eye framework consists of the following core infrastructure modules:

  • Crime Intelligence Data Bureau (CIDB)
  • Crime Intelligence Network Infrastructure (CINI)
  • Crime Intelligence Soft Infrastructure (CISI) consisting of:
    • Automatic Crime Suspect Identification Systems (ACSIS)
    • Computerized Arrest and Booking Systems (CABS)

Crime Intelligence Data Bureau

A national centralised database repository of crime information. This is a data warehouse system that offers scalability, availability and security features operating as a data storage component for all criminal activities across the nation which will form a cohesive platform for criminal investigation purposes. Data from multiple sources (e.g. Federal Road Safety, Banks, Electoral Commission, Nigeria Immigration and Telecom Service Provider) is merged using the Crime Intelligence DataBot data connector and written to the Crime Data Bureau Data Warehouse

CIDB

Crime Intelligence Network Infrastructure

A resilient and secure network infrastructure through which local, regional and national Law Enforcement agencies will communicate with the Crime Intelligence Data Bureau to upload/download, search and analyse crime information.

CINI

Crime Intelligence Soft Infrastructure

A resilient and secure software intelligence decision support interface tools interfacing with the Crime Intelligence Data Warehouse such as:

  • Automatic Crime Suspect Identification Systems (ACSIS) for establishing identity of crime suspect, collating crime reports, crime arrests, searching and cataloguing
  • Computerized Arrest and Booking Systems (CABS)
